Portsmouth Railway Rifle and Pistol Club

Portsmouth Railway Rifle and Pistol Club

Portsmouth Railway Rifle and Pistol Club is a Home Office–approved paper target shooting club. We are fully insured and affiliated with the N.S.R.A. (National Smallbore Rifle Association), whose safety and competition guidelines we follow.

Our members have formed a close-knit group of sociable shooting enthusiasts. We shoot all year round, accommodating all levels of experience, including competitions at club, county, and national level.

Annual subscriptions are set at reasonable levels. Junior members aged 12 to 18 (sadly we cannot accept shooters under 12) are charged half the adult rate. Junior members must, however, be accompanied by a nominated adult at all times. We welcome applications from all genders.

All prospective members must complete a probationary period, which includes range safety training, before full membership can be approved.

Location

We are located at the Hilsea Lines off Scott’s Lane, next to Cassmate Studio & Coffee Shop.

Only approved N.S.R.A. targets may be used on all ranges.

Club Ethos

We are a small, non-profit club with around 20 shooting members plus probationers. All income is reinvested into facilities for our members.

Our aim is to encourage shooting sports across all disciplines within the Range Safety Envelope. You can be certain of a warm and friendly welcome, whether you are a complete novice or a seasoned veteran.
